Chief Announces Agreement to Expand Marcellus Shale Development

Chief recently announced it has entered an agreement with Enerplus to accelerate development in the Marcellus Shale.  The Joint Development Agreement will provide Chief with more than $400 million to expand drilling and development plans.

Township Residents, Local Officials Tour Operations

Chief representatives escorted Watson Township residents, township officials and members of the local fire department on a tour of the Zinck well site in Lycoming County.  

The tour gave members of the local community a chance to learn more about Marcellus Shale development and how it will benefit the area and the state.

Chief Awards First 4-H Scholarship

4-H Scholarship

Chief's first annual 4-H Scholarship was awarded at the Lycoming County Fair in Hughesville, PA. Emerald (Emmie) Laubacher of Montoursville was the recipient of the $750 Chief scholarship.  Chief Oil & Gas donated $25,000 in July 2008 to the county 4-H program for a scholarship endowment.

Chief Supports Marshall County, WV 4-H and Livestock Club

Marshall County Fair

Chief Oil & Gas recently purchased a prize-winning pig at the Marshall County Fair from Ashely Ruza (pictured next to the pig) of the local 4-H & Livestock Club.  The pig will be donated back to the 4-H.  

Community involvement and philanthropy are cornerstones of how Chief operates and we are proud to support the communities in which we live and work.
