Environment
Oil Factory

With the advancement of technology, our operations have become less intrusive, cleaner and safer for the environment. We take it a step further and continually find ways to minimize the impact our operations have on local communities and landowners. Chief was one of the first companies to drill multiple directional wells from one drilling site – a practice that is now common among operators drilling horizontal wells in the Barnett Shale.

In some areas, environmental studies are needed to measure the impact our operations will have in an area.  With a desire to be a good corporate citizen, Chief works with local government and environmental groups and the community to develop best practices and improve ways to minimize and reduce disturbances where we operate. Land reclamation teams work to restore the areas around our locations to further minimize any long-term disruption from our operations.
